Air Con Check

As a general rule, it is a good idea to get your car air-conditioning checked every 18 months. Although if your air-con system is giving off an unusual smell you should get it checked over immediately. This can be a sign of bacterial build up in the system and can be harmfull to your health. Another reason to have your system looked over id if your system is making any unusual noises. This can be an indication that there may be a problem with your pump and it may be about to fail.

When to get your air-con checked

• At least every 18 months

Air Con Recharge

You lose an estimated 10% of your air-con gas every year, this will result in your system not operating to it's optimum potential. It is recommended that you should recharge your air conditioning system every 2 years with fresh gas and lubricant. Air-Con systems not fully recharged will be less effective and have to work harder, this puts more strain on the engine and uses more fuel.
